There are various wonderful artist festivals and venues in Cape Cod to get beautiful art for your coastal home. However, what good is gorgeous art if you do not know how to properly display it within the home?
You want your art display to truly engage the viewer, and in order for it to do that, there needs to be plenty of variety. Don’t be afraid to experiment with the unexpected and discover ways to create A dramatic look. Here are 3 tips courtesy of art.com.
- Odd numbers of frames usually create a very pleasing visual effect in a display. You want to place your central pieces at eye level or slightly above on the wall. From there you can expand the display outward.
- If you have a collection with similar art pieces, use frames that are in a variety of colors, textures and shapes to add interest and character.
- By hanging several shelves you can create a gallery of artwork and objects. Make sure to include variety in your gallery, lean some art against the wall and add eye-pleasing items that play off the textures, colors and shapes of the artwork.
