Cape Cod is home to some spectacularly beautiful homes, commonly designed in traditional styles. There is a Cape Cod style of home, after all, that is recognizable around the world.
But we also have some very cutting edge homes on the Cape, too.
The Contemporist recently showcased a gorgeous Orleans home designed by Boston’s Charles Rose Architects.
Similar to a Cape Cod home we showed you here recently, the homeowners wanted a home that would take advantage of the beautiful Pleasant Bay year round– bringing in the lovely summer light, but providing a cozy home in our harsh Cape Cod winters.
The home also includes a separate art studio.
