Ceiling Beams: A Reason to Look Up

The ceiling can sometimes get the short end of the stick when it comes to home design. Admittedly, for coastal homes, the design is more focus on capitalizing on the spectacular outdoor view with large or lots of windows and filling the space with natural light. But we can not forget about our ceilings. A bare ceiling is boring.  That’s why renovating your ceiling to include beams can be a wonderful way to add more reason to look up.

You don’t necessarily have to go for the traditional beams. Like the room above, these beams are not very large, it is the design they form that creates the visual interest.
