We’ve seen a few tentative signs of spring here on Cape Cod, and we’ve been assured the warm weather will be here eventually.

That means soon it will be time to tend to the yard, plant some flowers, and get a little dirt under our fingernails.

Of course, gardening is a lot more enjoyable if you have a good space to do your potting and arranging. So, when you’re considering remodeling your mudroom or your utility room, think about making it also work as a gardening room.

You just need some counter space, a sink, maybe a cabinet to store your gardening tools and a door to your yard. Oh, and don’t forget some big windows for some sunlight.
