Creating a Flow with Open Home Design

You may have grown up in a home with many small rooms separated by many walls. At the time, it may not have bothered you. But now that you are older and have an expanding and growing  family of your own, those many walls make it seem as if the house is caving in on you.  More than likely, this is the time where you need to seriously consider remodeling your coastal home to an open floor plan.

Small rooms, narrow hallways and walls that keep out the natural light don’t help in designing the cheery coastal home you have always dreamed of. For the common areas of your home (kitchen, living room/family room, dining room) those rooms can be opened up to create a better flow of light, energy and design within the home. Too many walls and separate rooms can make your home interiors dark and gloomy. Update your home and open it up so that the flow of design and light will not be interrupted.
